Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to RA President Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of Armenia’s Independence Day.
According to the press service of the Kremlin, Putin’s congratulatory telegram states that this year Russia and Armenia are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 20th anniversary of the signing of the “Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance”.
Putin highly appreciated the successes in the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, as well as the effective Armenian-Russian cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, ACP and CIS.
The President of the Russian Federation also expressed confidence that in the future the bilateral alliance relations between Armenia and Russia will develop in line with the interests of the two fraternal peoples, in the direction of maintaining security and stability in Transcaucasia.
