Armenia’s Government changes status of Matenadaran into foundation

Armenia’s Cabinet adopted a decision on Thursday to reorganize MATENADARAN Scientific Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts named after Mesrop Mashtots SNCO into a foundation to create more favorable conditions for the implementation of Matenadaran’s development programs.

The change of the status will boost the efficiency of the management of Matenadaran, thus attracting investments from different sources, including from the Diaspora.
