On April 24 France 24 to devote a series of programs to the Armenian people

On April 24, and to mark the centenary of the Armenian Genocide,
France 24 television will devote a special series of programs to the
Armenian people, their history and culture.

STEPANAKERT, APRIL 18, ARTSAKHPRESSÖ? `It was the first genocide of
the 20th century ` a precursor of more to come.

`Between April 1915 and July 1916, the Ottoman government ordered the
systematic extermination of some 1.5 million Armenians.

`Others were forced into exile.

`100 years later, Turkey, the inheritor of the Ottoman Empire, has yet
to acknowledge this genocide,’ the France 24’s respective announcement
runs.
