PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK “ARMENIANS OF NAGORNO KARABAKH: HISTORY. CULTURE. TRADITIONS” IN MOSCOW

On March 30, the presentation of the monograph of Doctor of Historical
Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences,
leading researcher of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology
of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alla Ter-Sargsyan “Armenians of
NAGORNO KARABAKH: History. Culture. Traditions” took place at the
House of Journalists in Moscow.

This monograph is a scientific, historical and cultural research of
the history of Artsakh from the ancient times to the present days.

The book focuses on the period of 1918-1921, when the conflict between
Azerbaijan and Karabakh took its origins, and presents the main stages
of the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict.

The monograph also contains detailed information about the traditions,
culture, holidays, and ceremonies of the Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh.

The book was published by the Russian Institute of Political and
Social Researches of the Black Sea-Caspian Region.

Adviser of the Permanent Representation of the Nagorno Karabakh
Republic to the Russian Federation Ruben Zargarian took the floor to
present the book.

Public figure and philanthropist Vartkes Artzruni, the first
Co-Chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group from Russia, Vladimir Kazimirov,
Chairman of the “Russian-Armenian Cooperation” organization Yuri
Navoyan, Director of the Institute of Political and Social Researches
of the Black Sea-Caspian Region Vladimir Zakharov, prominent Russian
writer, publicist and screenwriter Kim Bakshi, senior researcher of
the Institute of International Economy and International Relations
of the Russian Academy of Sciences Victor Nadein-Rayevski and others
delivered speeches at the presentation of the book.
