NATURE PROTECTION MINISTER CONDUCTING WIDE-SCALE INSPECTIONS IN AKHTALA ODC

Based on EcoLur’s “Alarm Signal from Mets Ayrum: Pasture Hill Owned
by Community Destroyed for Unknown Reasons” article, the State
Environmental Inspection of Nature Protection Ministry carried out
inspection in the area mentioned in the alarm signal. As a result, the
operation of the heavy machinery is stopped and the heavy machinery
has been driven out, as Nature Protection Minister Press Secretary
Tehmina Arzumanyan informed EcoLur. She said that currently wide-scale
inspections are in program in Akhtala ODC, and the ministry will
inform about its result after their completion.

Reminder: EcoLur has received an alarm signal from Mets Ayrum
Community in Lori Region, which said that the heavy machinery owned
by Akhtala ODC was destroying the hill-pasture owned by the community
and relocated huge amounts of soil from there.
