CHORRORD ISHKHANUTYUN: TENSION WITHIN ARMENIA’S RULING PARTY

Then ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has been facing tension
during the last few days.

Head of the RPA parliamentary faction Vahram Baghdasaryan stated
recently that the number of Armenian MPs may be reduced to 75 as a
result of constitutional reforms.

Businessmen within the RPA are now “settling the issue of which of
them are going to be among the seventy-five.”

The newspaper’s sources say that to prevent any conflicts the MPs
were told that “all this was said to gain people’s favor.”
