Public consultation meetings on the draft River Basin Management Plans

Public consultation meetings will be held on the Draft River Basin
Management Plans developed in the framework of the “Environmental Protection
of International River Basins” (EPIRB) project. The EPIRB project targets
the improvement of water quality in transboundary river basins in the wider
Black Sea region and Belarus. The project is funded by the European Union
and implemented by an international consortium led by the Austrian
Consulting Company Hulla & Co. Human Dynamics KG.

The public consultation meetings will give the opportunity to learn more
about the draft RBMPs, including the planned Programme of Measures, to take
part in discussions and to provide your comments and proposals on the draft
plan. All stakeholders and members of the public are welcome and encouraged
to provide their comments, feedback and proposals.

The consultation meetings will take place according to the following
schedule:

. March 24, 2015, in Batumi, Georgia, on the Draft River
Basin M Plan for the Chorokhi-Adjaristskali pilot basin;

. March 26, 2015, in Gyumri, Armenia, on the Draft RBM
Plan for the Akhuryan pilot basin.

Information on meeting venues, agenda and the draft RBMP will be accessible
on the website in early March at and circulated
to interested participants. A dedicated e-mail address will be also
announced soon for collecting the comments.

We invite members of the public and all interested parties to join and
participate in the consultation. Due to limitation of space in the meeting
rooms, those interested to attend, are kindly asked to indicate their wish
to participate to the respective project contacts:
