Mihran Tomasyan – solo performance at the Péniche Anako
La Péniche Anako presents Mihran on Sunday March 16 and Monday March 17
Tomasyan in his creation “You’re not a fish after all”,
given for the first time in June 2010 in Paris and Istanbul at
InPlatform(September 2010). This room is dedicated to all those
who were killed because of their thoughts, starting with Hrant
Dink, Armenian journalist in Türkiye. Gevende, a music group in
Türkiye, recently released an album of the same title (January 2011). They try to block the flow of water, they line up bags of
sand, build walls, but whatever they do, the water will find
crack and will continue to flow. Many times his journey will be
filled with obstacles and certainly the water will become cloudy, but the water
will flow… It always has been and always will be in this country. They continue to disturb the water. This piece is dedicated to all those who
have chosen the path of water. The suitcase opens and everything in it
grave will surely find its crack. Mihran Tomasyan has a dance troupe, Ciplak Ayaklar, `The Feet
nus`, who was invited to Saint Étienne in March 2015. At this
opportunity, he returns to the barge to show his piece again and

Mihran Tomasyan est l’un des fondateurs de la compagnie, Ciplak
Ayaklar, `Les pieds nus` en Turquie. The group, made up of artists from
various training courses such as theater, dance, music and video. He is considered the pioneer in the field of dance
contemporary in Türkiye. He graduated from the Department of Modern Dance at Mimar University
Sinan Fine Arts in 2001. In France Mihran completed his studies in
dance at the National Center for Contemporary Dance in 2002. He danced
with Rebecca Lazier several times in the United States and Canada; with
the Yard dance group on Marthas Vineyard Island and also
participated in the Downtown Festival in New York. To see on Sunday March 16 at 5 p.m. and Monday 17 at 8:30 p.m.
