Attempt To Convince Garni Residents Not Successful

ATTEMPT TO CONVINCE GARNI RESIDENTS NOT SUCCESSFUL

Today the parties discussing the construction of Qaghtsrashen gravity
irrigation project in Garni Rural Municipality, Kotayk Region, didn’t
come to an agreement. As EcoLur was informed from Garni, during the
whole discussions “Hayhydroenerganakhagits” CJSC representatives
tried to convince the residents to give their consent for the project
implementation. Nevertheless, the attempt to convince Garni Residents
was a failure. The residents intend to continue their fight and
call for the environmentalists to join them in their fight to save
Garni Gorge.
