The CSTO member states will start producing military hardware and
equipment that used to be purchased from Ukraine, CSTO Secretary
General Nikolai Bordyuzha said at a press conference in Moscow on 30
January, BelTA reports.

According to Nikolai Bordyuzha, this kind of hardware can be
manufactured in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

He reminded that amendments to the provision on the Interstate
Commission for Military and Economic Cooperation were introduced at
the December summit of the CSTO. Now the commission includes the vice
premiers supervising the defense industries. “I think that the
commission will focus on import substitution,” Nikolai Bordyuzha said.

A number of large-scale military exercises will be conducted in the
framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in
2015, Nikolai Bordyuzha said.

For example, a large-scale exercise will be held with the
participation of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force. In
September-October Armenia will host exercises of CSTO’s peacekeeping
forces. The drug control services and the law enforcement agencies of
the CSTO member states will also conduct military exercises in 2015.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
