HAYKAKAN ZHAMANAK: POLITICAL DECISION MADE TO CLOSE DOWN NAIRIT PLANT
Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily says that a political decision was made to
close down Nairit Plant.
“The Armenian authorities have no hope of re-launching the plant. In
fact the closedown process has already begun. About 2,000 workers will
be dismissed in February, and only 450 will remain to keep the plant
in a state of closedown. Their number will be reduced to 250 later.
Unless there are prospects of re-launching the chemical giant in
the coming years, the plant’s liquidation process will start,” the
daily writes.
