PRE-PARLIAMENT DECRIES ATTACK ON CIVIL ACTIVIST

“100th Anniversary without the Regime”opposition movement has issued
a statement condemning the recent attack on civil activist Vaghinak
Shushanyan.

“The beating on Vaghinak Shushanyan testifies to the fact that
the criminal regime is taking all measures, even using violence,
to retain power. We condemn the regime’s use of the state apparatus
and intimidation of citizens with the help of criminal elements. At
the same time, we call on our citizens to have no confidence in law
enforcement agencies and their false promises but to join national
liberation struggle of April 24, 2015, aimed at overthrowing the
acting regime and restoring people’s power in Armenia.

Vaghinak Shushanyan was attacked and beaten up by two unknown men in
the center of Yerevan on Saturday evening. The activist said it was
retribution for his statements against Serzh Sargsyan that he made
during a protest near the government office earlier that week.
