RUSSIAN ARMS SALES TO AZERBAIJAN MAKE SITUATION MORE PREDICTABLE – EXPERT

“Russian arms producing companies participate in the process of
arms sales to Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan purchases weapons at world
market prices,” Nikolai Silayev, senior researcher at the Center for
Caucasian Studies at Moscow State Institute of International Relations,
director of the Caucasus Cooperation NGO, told reporters on Tuesday.

In his words, Armenian public is unhappy with the fact that Russia
and Azerbaijan cooperate in the military and technical field, but the
“Russian arms sales to Azerbaijan make the situation more predictable.”

Silayev stressed that Russia is one of the main guarantors of the
fragile peace that maintains for 20 years.
