TEHRAN (FNA)- Armenian Ambassador to Tehran Gregor Arakelian underlined
Iran’s modern petrochemical industries, and voiced his country’s
enthusiasm for the promotion of ties with Tehran in this sector.

The Armenian diplomat said that Iran’s petrochemical industry enjoys
good presence in his country’s markets.

“Tehran and Yerevan have recently held very useful talks for increasing
the level of cooperation in the petrochemical industry and Armenia
is ready for any cooperation and interaction for benefiting from Iran
in the petrochemical industry,” said Arakelian.

“As a gas supplier to Armenia, Iran has favorable cooperation with us
and Yerevan provides Iran with electricity in return for gas imports.

We hope to have good cooperation in the petrochemical industry,”
he added.

Iran and Armenia have taken major strides towards widening and
deepening of their relations in recent years, particularly in the
economic sector.

Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, heading a high-ranking
delegation, visited Iran in October to confer with senior officials
of the country on ways to develop all-out ties.

Abrahamyan held meetings with a number of high-ranking Iranian
officials, including Foreign Minster Mohammad Javad Zarif, during
which they exchanged views on the growing trend of the development
of bilateral relations in all areas, specially in economic, trade,
infrastructures and tourism fields, and underscored the necessity
for removing the existing obstacles.

They also called for continued reciprocal visits by Iranian and
Armenian officials to consult and exchange views on the bilateral
relations and other issues of mutual interest.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
