Armenia’s jewelry production output at 6.5bln drams in January-July

YEREVAN, September 8. /ARKA/. Jewelry production output amounted to
6,506.5 million drams in Armenia in January-July, a reduction of 41.3%
compared to the same period of 2013, ArmStat reported.

A total of 706.9 kilograms of jewelry was produced in the period as
compared to 701.5 kilograms in January-July 2013 (0.8% increase).

Diamond production output was 38,734 carats, a 28% decrease.

Exports of precious and semi-precious stones, precious metals and
products from them totaled about $136.9 million (28.2% increase) in
January-July; imports were $181.9 million (14.2% increase). ($1-
