Iran’s Rouhani to visit Armenia

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is scheduled to visit
Armenia to discuss issues of mutual interests as well as regional and
international developments. “We are pursuing the issue, but due to the
president’s busy schedule the time of the trip cannot be specified
exactly. However the trip will occur,” said Iranian ambassador to
Armenia Mohammad Raisi. Iran has long taken various diplomatic
initiatives to expand its ties with the neighboring states. In recent
years, Iran and its Northern neighbor Armenia have boosted
cooperation, signed agreements on energy cooperation and agreed to
cooperate in technology and research and to enhance ties in commerce
and economy. End Item

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
