Armenian serviceman killed in Azerbaijani gun attack

A serviceman of the Armenian army was shot to death in an act of
sabotage provoked by Azerbaijani defense troops in the north and
north-east of the Line of Contact.

According to a press release by the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, the
armed troops launched the attack on Friday night in an attempt to
penetrate into territories under Armenian control.

Prompt operations by the Defense Army’s frontline subdivisions helped
reveal and repel the enemy in time. The Armenian side is said to have
left a considerable amount of technical equipment and arms behind.

Khachatur L Badasyan, 20, was fatally during the operations.

The Nagorno-Karabakh Ministry of Defense has extended its condolences
to the family, friends and fellow servicemen of the deceased.

A probe has been launched into further details.
