ARS Western US Convention Elects New Regional Executive

The participants of the ARS 94th Wesern Regional Convention
LITTLE ARMENIA–The Armenian Relief Society of Western USA, convened
its 94th Annual Regional Convention from July 18 to 20 at the
Hollywood Armenian Center, hosted by the local ARS “Mayr” Hollywood
Chapter.
On Friday morning, the convention began with opening remarks delivered
by Regional Executive Chairperson Lena Bozoyan. Prelate Archbishop
Moushegh Mardirossian performed the invocation. On behalf of the ARF
Central Committee, Dr. Vicken Yacoubian delivered remarks and on
behalf of the ARS Central Executive, Annie Kechichian wished for
successful proceedings.
Sossie Poladian and Lara Kazandjian took on the role of the meeting
chairpersons, Rita Hintlian and Sandy Tomassian took on the role of
English secretaries, and Hasmig Ourfalian and Maral Poladian took on
the role of Armenian secretaries for the region’s highest meeting.
The following were elected as new members of the Regional Executive:
Becky Berberian, Satenig Ghazarian, Aida Babayan-Alrayes, and Rita
Hintlian.
After the Convention, the Regional Executive convened its first
plenary meeting during which the officers of the Executive were
elected as follows:
Co-Chairpersons: Maral Matossian and Becky Berberian
Secretary: Rita Hintlian
Treasurer: Aida Babayan-Alrayes
Accountant: Judy Jingirian (San Francisco)
Advisors: Nanik Kupelian, Araxy Aykanian, Satenig Ghazarian, Adrine
