SEYRAN OHANYAN RECEIVES BUNDESTAG MEMBER KARL LAMERS

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received member of the
Bundestag, former President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Karl
Lamers and German Ambassador to Armenia Rainer Morel.

Issues of bilateral cooperation and Armenia-NATO cooperation were
discussed at the meeting, according to the press service of Defense
Ministry.

The German side expressed gratitude for supporting the dynamics of
bilateral cooperation. From the viewpoint of the NATO, the significance
of Armenia as a partner in ensuring peace and stability was indicated.

In the context of regional security, Defense Minister Ohanyan confirmed
Armenia’s position that negotiations are the only way of conflict
resolution and any attempt to resolve the conflict from a position
of strength is doomed to fail.
