DRINKING AND IRRIGATION WATER LOSSES IN ARMENIA REACH 60- 75%

YEREVAN, June 4. /ARKA/. Drinking and irrigation water losses
in Armenia reach 60- 75%, Volodya Narimanyan, chief of the nature
protection ministry’s agency for supervising administration of water
resources, said Wednesday at a news conference.

Narimanyan stressed that certain measures are being taken now to
lessen water losses to 30-40%.

Armenia has five water supply operators – Yerevan Jur, Armenian Water
Company, Lori Water Company, Shiral Water Company and Nor Akunk.
