Up To 15 Thousand New Jobs Considered To Be Created In Armenia’s IT

UP TO 15 THOUSAND NEW JOBS CONSIDERED TO BE CREATED IN ARMENIA’S IT SPHERE BY 2025

YEREVAN, MARCH 26, ARMENPRESS. The Government of the Republic of
Armenia expects the creation 15 thousand new jobs in the IT sphere
by 2025 through implementing targeted policy.

According to the strategic plan of prospective development for
2014-2025, it is expected that export will be increased parallel to
the growth of the sphere. About 60 % of the product of the sphere is
expected to be exported in 2017.

As reports “Armenpress”, according to the strategic plan, which has
been introduced for the approval of the Government of the Republic of
Armenia and which is included in the agenda of the March 27 session
of the Government, it is planned that the IT sphere’s share in GDP
will reach 6-7 % in 2025.
