STATE REVENUE COMMITTEE: ARMENIA’S LIVE FISH EXPORTS GROW 46.7% TO 24.8 TONS IN 2013
YEREVAN, March 4. /ARKA/. Armenia’s live fish exports grew 46.7%
from 16.9 tons in 2012 to 24.8 tons in 2013, Armenia’s State Revenue
Committee reports.
The fishes exported in 2013 cost $169,800, and those exported in
2012 $194,000.
Remarkable is that almost entire live fish exports have been sent to
Georgia (21.8 tons), and only 3 tons have been exported to Russia.
Some 176.1 kilograms of live fishes worth $20,600 were imported in
Armenia in 2013 against 515.3 kilograms worth $27,300 in 2012.
Key importers of live fishes to Armenia in 2013 were Malaysia (52.5
kilograms), Indonesia (40 kilograms), Sri Lanka (32.7 kilograms),
Singapore (28 kilograms) and Thailand (22.3 kilograms).
According to the Armenian agriculture ministry, Armenia’s fish output
totaled 11,600 tons in 2013 after growing by 2,800 tons, compared
