*ANCA Western Region Submits Testimonies Opposing H.R. No 9 and H.R. 13*

Earlier today, ANCA WR Executive Director Elen Asatryan submitted two
testimonies in opposition to H.R. 9 and H.R. 13 to the Hawaii House
Committee on Veterans, Military, & International Affairs, & Culture and the
Arts noting that the resolutions include blatant misrepresentations and
false statements regarding the Republic of Azerbaijan, Armenian-Azeri
relations, the historical background and the current state of
Nagorno-Karabakh as well as the circumstances surrounding the events at
Khojaly.

H.R. 9 and H.R. 13 will be brought to a committee vote tomorrow, Wednesday,
February 12, 2013.
