Index Of Consumer Prices Rises By 5.5% In Armenia

INDEX OF CONSUMER PRICES RISES BY 5.5% IN ARMENIA

The index of consumer prices increased by 5.5% in January 2014 compared
with January 2013, 1in.am reports.

Prices for food products (including alcohol and tobacco) increased
by 4.2%, for non-food products by 3.4%, for services by 9.1%.

Prices increased by 2.8% compared with December.

The figures meet the expectations of the Armenian Central Bank,
where annual inflation was expected to amount to 4% plus-minus 1.5%.
