ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTRY DISMISSES REPORTS ABOUT DETAINED ARMENIAN SOLDIER BY AZERBAIJANI ARMED FORCES

YEREVAN. – Azerbaijani media reports saying an Armenian serviceman was
detained in the village of Alibeyli of Tovuz Region of Azerbaijan are
untrue, spokesperson for Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan
told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“This is nonsense spread by Azerbaijani media,” he said, adding that
not a single serviceman crossed the border.

Azerbaijani media said a citizen of Armenia was allegedly detained
in Alibeyli village. According to reports, he crossed the line of
contact and was detained by the villagers. It is unclear whether he
is a civilian or a soldier.
