MOSCOW TO COMMEMORATE VICTIMS OF SPITAK EARTHQUAKE

The Mir Concert Hall in Moscow will host a commemoration of the
victims of the Spitak earthquake (December 7, 1988) today, News
Armenia reports.

Rescuers who were at the scene of tragedy will attend the ceremony.

Spitak and Leninakan (modern Gyumri) were destroyed by the earthquake.

About 25,000 people died.
