ARMENIAN WINE QUALITY INCREASED: WINEMAKER

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS: The quality of the Armenian wines
has considerably increased in comparison with the previous year. The
president of the Winemakers Union of Armenia Avag Harutyunyan stated
about it at the press conference on November 1. “The quality of the
Armenian wines is increasing year by year.

During the last two-three years we have quite incomparable quality in
comparison with the last 10-15 years”, – said Harutyunyan, Armenpress
reports.

The 2/3 of the Armenian wines is exported to CIS countries and the
rest – to USA and Europe.

The president of the Winemakers Union of Armenia informed that the
volumes of the harvested grapes this year exceeded the indices of
the previous year by 10%. 166,5 thousand tons of grapes have been
collected in 2013 in Armenia.
