21-YEAR-OLD DEFENDANT FLEES YEREVAN COURTROOM

Defendant Serob Mkhitaryan, 21, accused of large-scale theft and
breaking and entering, today fled from the Court of First Instance of
Erebuni and Nubarashen Communities of Yerevan where his case was to
be heard, RA Police press officer Armen Malkhasyan informed Epress.am

“The defendeant who escaped is accused of committing a series of
robberies. Police officers are taking prompt measures to find him. A
criminal case under Article 351 Section 1 [“illegal exemption from
criminal liability”] has been launched,” said Malkhasyan.
