ARMENIA AND TURKMENISTAN STRENGTHEN COLLABORATION

YEREVAN. – Representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs
of Armenia and Turkmenistan conducted consultations Thursday in
Turkmenistan’s capital city Ashgabat.

The two delegations were led by Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister
Shavarsh Kocharyan and Turkmenistan’s First Deputy Foreign Minister
Vepa Khajiev.

The parties reflected on bilateral relations, specifically the legal
and contractual framework, the trade and economic ties, humanitarian
cooperation, and collaboration within international organizations,
informs the Armenian MFA press service.

They also discussed the course of implementation of the agreements
that were reached during Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow’s
official visit paid to Armenia in 2012.

In addition, the interlocutors looked into the activities of the
Armenian-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

On the same day, Shavarsh Kocharyan met with RaÅ~_it Meredow, Deputy
PM and also FM of Turkmenistan.
