DETAILED OFFICIAL RESULTS OF IRAQI KURDISTAN REGION POLL ANNOUNCED

The Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has published
detailed results of the 21 September Kurdistan Region parliamentary
poll in which the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) came first, the
website of privately-owned Rudaw media company reported on 2 October.

IHEC officials announced the results at a news conference in Arbil.

The political entities can appeal against the results, the officials
said.

There are 111 seats in the parliament, 11 of which are reserved for
the ethnic and religious minorities. Thirty-four female candidates
have been elected as MPs.

The details below are compiled from two reports on the Rudaw website,
which were also carried in part or full on several other outlets:

1. KDP, 743,984 votes (38 seats);

2. Change Movement (Gorran), 476,736, (24 seats);

3. Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, 350,500 (18 seats);

4. Kurdistan Islamic Union, 186,741 (10 seats);

5. Kurdistan Islamic Group, 118,574 (six seats);

6. Kurdistan Socialist Democratic Party, 12,501 (one seat);

7. Azadi List of Kurdistan Communist Party, 12,392 (one seat);

8. Third Direction List of the Kurdistan Toilers’ Party, 8,681
(one seat)

Minorities: (five seats reserved for Turkomans, five for Christians
and one to Armenian per quota system)

9. Turkoman Progressive Movement List, 5,259, two seats

10. Arbil Turkomani List, 6,951, one seat

11. Turkoman’s Change and Renewal List, 1,926, one seat

12. Turkoman Front, 1,753, one seat

13. Rafidayn List, 6,145, two seats

14. List of Chaldean, Syriac and Assyrian Assembly, 5,730, two seats

15. Abna (Sons of) Rafidayn List, 1,093, one seat

16. Armenians: Barwan Nisan Margos Patros (name of successful candidate
as published)
