ARMENIAN PRESIDENT: LEADER OF NEIGHBORING COUNTRY CONSTANTLY THREATENS WITH WAR

October 02, 2013 | 14:32

Peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict continues to
beArmenia’s main objective.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan noted the above-said Wednesday
addressing the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE),
in StrasbourgFrance.

Pointing to the OSCE Minsk Group’s respective efforts, he stressed
that Armenia appreciates all efforts to ensure stability in the region.

He noted that the leader of Armenia’s neighboring country-that is,
Azerbaijan-constantly threatens with war and is proud of his country’s
military budget. But, as per Armenia’s President, not all Azerbaijanis
agree with such statements.

Serzh Sargsyan also recalled that a democratic society is the best
place for the conflict, and Nagorno-Karabakh itself is an example of
such society.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
