ZHAMANAK: YEREVAN MUNICIPALITY ALLOCATES 2.5 TIMES MORE FUNDS FOR COMBATING STRAY DOGS THAN FOR RENOVATING ELEVATORS

Zhamanak daily reports that within the framework of the 2013 budget,
Yerevan Municipality allocated 2.5 times more funds for combating
stray dogs than for renovating elevators in multi-storied residential
buildings. According to the paper, most of the elevators in Yerevan
are accident-prone. The paper gives as an example the tragic incident
that occurred in a residential building in Yerevan yesterday when a
63-year-old man fell to his death down an elevator shaft.
