World No. 2 in the FIDE ratings Levon Aronian advanced to 1/16 finals
of the Chess World Cup 2013, which is being held in Tromsø, Norway.

Aronian defeated Russia’s Igor Lysyj 2-0 in the tiebreak. Armenian
GM celebrated victory in two rapid chess games.
