ARMENIA HAS 44,000 OFFICIALLY REGISTERED PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISORDERS

YEREVAN, August 14. / ARKA /. Armenia has now 44,000 officially
registered persons with mental disorders, head of Urartu University,
Sedrak Sedrakian, told a news conference today. He said some of
them are being treated at special institutions, and the rest get
out-patient treatment.

According to Sedrakian, there are also many persons in the so-called’
border state. “An unpleasant news or a blow may push these persons
beyond that border,’ he said adding that many crimes committed in a
fit of anger or jealousy are committed by persons in this state. -0-
