ZHOGHOVURD: ARMENIAN SOLDIER’S BROTHER DENIES INTENTIONAL BORDER CROSSING REPORT

The brother of the Armenian army private, who was last week reported
to have found himself on the Azerbaijani territory after crossing the
border from Nagorno-Karabakh, has dismissed the report that the move
could have been intentional.

Speaking to the paper, he said that he doesn’t believe the Azerbaijani
media reports that his brother, Hakob Injughulyan, would have
voluntarily crossed into the country.

According to him, the soldier’s poor vision could have been the
cause of the misunderstanding. The paper says the head of the
Defense Ministry’s Military-Medical Department, Kamavor Khachatryan,
is apparently responsible for that as he had not taken the fact into
consideration while enlisting Injughulyan to the Army. The soldier’s
brother has reportedly complained that no one from either the military
unit or the Ministry has contacted the family after he was captured
by the Azerbaijanis.
