WILL SPECIAL INVESTIGATIVE SERVICE INTERROGATE VICE-MINISTER?

Farmers are interviewed regarding the case of stealing diesel fuel
and fertilizers subsidized by the government under the state program
for farmers. Lragir.am has learned that the ministry of agriculture
asks the farmers whether they benefited from the program or not.

The ministry of finance has disclosed misappropriations of fuel
and fertilizer, and abuse of official position by the offices of
governors of Ararat, Gegharkunik, Kotayk and Shirak. Criminal cases
have been filed.

Earlier Lragir.am had reported these revelations about
misappropriations in the process of distribution of fuel and
fertilizers under the state program. After our publication, the
vice-minister of agriculture Samvel Galstyan hurried to refute
misappropriations in an interview with Lragir.am.

He said that the ministry of agriculture receives daily reports on the
implantation of the program and that the implementation is perfect. He
said that each farmer can receive only one ton of fertilizers, but
later it was found out that there have been people who received more,
and they were mainly Hovik Abrahamyan’s relatives.

It is impossible that Samvel Galstyan did not know about these
processes because he is in charge of coordination and control
of governors’ offices and village municipalities. He often visits
villages and he must have heard complaints of farmers who did not
get their part of fuel and fertilizers.
