DOLUNTS WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE TO SURIK KHACHATRYAN

Goris-based Garegin Nzhdeh Patriotic Initiative is concerned with
the reports that the acting governor of Syunik province, Ara Dolunts,
will be appointed to the post.

“If it happens, Dolunts will not be accountable to the Armenian
government and the people of Syunik, but personally to former
governor of Syunik Surik Khachatryan (nicknamed Liska). Today we have
a historic opportunity to get rid of Liska’s sinister influence in
the province and Serzh Sargsyan should seize the opportunity. Syunik
needs an unbiased governor while in this case there is no substantial
difference between Liska and his “stooges.”

We urge Serzh Sargsyan to choose such a candidate who is in no way
linked to the criminal system established in the province by notorious
Surik Khachatryan.,” the imitative said in a statement.
