HERMAN VAN ROMPUY: THE KARABAKH CONFLICT IS RESOLVABLE

19:30 04.06.2013

The Karabakh conflict was discussed at the 31st EU-Russia Summit
in Yekaterinburg.

“We call for continued engagement and co-operation on Nagorno-Karabakh
in support of the existing negotiating processes,” President of the
European Council Herman Van Rompuy stated after the summit.

The principles of comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict should be agreed upon now, Herman Van Rompuy said, AzerNews
reports, quoting Russia 24 Channel.

“This conflict is resolvable, and we will collaborate with Russia on
the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework
of the existing negotiation mechanisms,” Rompuy said at a joint
conference following the EU-Russia summit.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
