Part of the vegetable gardens in Vank were damaged by the hailfall

The recent heavy rain and hailfall caused great damage mainly to the
regions of Martakert and Askeran.

As Karabakh-open.info was informed by the press service of the Rescue
Service at the NKR government, at 15:58, May 28, dispatcher of the
alarm center of the regional rescue department of Martakert, rescue
service sergeant A. Harutyunyan reported that the heavy hailfall in
the village of Vank, Martakert region which was 3 cm in diameter
lasted from 17:00 to 17:20, May 27, and damaged 90 % of the
community’s vegetable gardens.

According to the same source the heavy rainfall of May 27-28 damaged
50 ha area of maize, 8 ha of wheat and 2 ha of barley in Sarushen,
Askeran region, 3 ha area of wheat and 1 ha of melons and gourds in
the community of Sghnakh and 1 ha of buckwheat in Nerqin Szneq.
