13.05.2013 14:36

YEREVAN, 2 May (BelTA) – Belarus would like to study Armenia’s best
practices in nuclear energy, President of the Republic of Belarus
Alexander Lukashenko has said following his talks with President of
Armenia Serzh Sargsyan in Yerevan on 13 May, BelTA has learnt.

`We are very interested in Armenia’s nuclear energy expertise. Belarus
is building its first nuclear power plant, and the both countries
would like to exchange information about safe operation of nuclear
power plants and new approaches to construction of power generating
units,’ the Belarusian leader said.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that Armenia has amassed extensive
experience in operating such facilities. `We believe that Armenia will
be able to send at least a dozen good specialists to Belarus to help
us start operating the future nuclear power plant,’ the Belarusian
President said.

In his words, during the visit the parties have signed an
intergovernmental agreement on the information exchange and
cooperation in nuclear safety and radiation protection.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
