Sefilyan: Serzh Sargsyan was distributing Marlboro cigarettes

Although the freedom fighters have been able to liberate Artsakh, they
have been unable to create the state of their dreams, says Zhirayr
Sefilyan, a member of the Sardarapat movement.

Together with his supporters Sefilyan is creating a new liberation
movement and enlisting freedom fighters.

“We will not allow any bloodshed. Our target is not Baghramyan 26, the
official seat of the Armenian president. Our aim is to form a new
political stratum for people to get rid of slavish thinking,” said Mr
Sefilyan.
He compares the present-day Armenia with the fall of Kars and says the
sooner we create a new state, the better.

“What we have today is simply an imitated state,” he said.
The member of the Sardarapat movement is convinced that the ruling
elite keep the army in order to increase their influence in the
country, rather than to protect the borders of Armenia. “The regime is
afraid of wars and will run away from the country on hearing the first
shots.”

Sefilyan says neither Serzh Sargsyan nor Robert Kocharyan has
contributed to the Nagorno-Karabakh liberation war. “They aimed to
seize power by inciting intrigues and bribing poeple. In 1992, Serzh
Sargsyan attempted to give “Marlboro” cigarettes to field commanders.
The following years he was already distributing guns, cars and even
businesses…”

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
