ARF Dashnaktsutyun is Armenia’s sole ideological force – former MP

YEREVAN. – It is difficult to find a political party in Armenia that
is based on ideology, former MP, economist Vardan Bostanjyan noted
during a press conference on Friday.

`[But] solely one party can be considered as such: the [opposition]
ARF [Dashnaktsutyun Party],’ Bostanjyan added.

To the query as to why, in that case, he has not joined ARF, he
replied: `Because I support PAP [that is, the Prosperous Armenia
Party].’

And with respect to the question as to what will occur in Armenian
politics if PAP were to ultimately declare itself an opposition,
Vardan Bostanjyan responded as follows:

`The important thing is the substance of those positions and views
that we express and, today, they are in the society’s favor.’
