Philharmonic Orchestra To Hold Concert In Memory Of Armenian Genocid

PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA TO HOLD CONCERT IN MEMORY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

YEREVAN, APRIL 23, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra
will give a concert devoted to the memory of the Armenian Genocide
on April 24. The Orchestra remembers the victims of 1915 Armenian
Genocide performing Requiem and “Words to the father” (a-capella)
by a famous Armenian composer Tigran Mansurian.

As reported by Armenpress, three leading Armenian choirs unite with
the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra around this concert: the Armenian
State Chamber Choir (Artistic Director and Choirmaster Robert Mlkeyan),
Yerevan State Chamber Choir (Artistic Director and Choirmaster Harutyun
Topikyan) and Hover Chamber Choir (Artistic Director and Choirmaster
Sona Hovhannisyan). Soloists will be Hasmik Torosyan (soprano) and
David Babayants (baritone).

The concert will be conducted by Robert Mlkeyan and Eduard Topchyan.
