Azerbaijan’s FM’s historic visit to Israel to anger Iran

Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mammdyarov will pay today a
historic visit to Israel.

According to haqqin.az, the Azerbaijani FM will meet with high-ranking
Israeli officials, including with President Shimon Peres, PM Benjamin
Netanyahu to discuss a number of issues on reinforcement of bilateral
relations, as well as will refer to the Iranian and Turkish issues.

No official information has been released about his meeting with
Pentagon head who is in Israel too. Israeli ambassador to Russia has
described the Azeri FM’s visit to Israel as historic. According to
sources, the visit will anger Iran with the latter already toughening
anti-Azerbaijani statements.
