HERITAGE REP.: I DON’T CONSIDER PROSPEROUS ARMENIA OPPOSITION

PanARMENIAN.Net – Heritage party member Anahit Bakhshyan has noted
the unification of the opposition forces following Yerevan city
council elections as inadmissible. She further dismissed the backing
of Prosperous Armenia representative Vartan Oskanian as unlikely.

“I don’t consider Prosperous Armenia an opposition force. The party was
a coalition member a year ago and voted for all the illegal decisions,”
Heritage member said.

Dwelling on the forces closely cooperating with the ruling Republican
Party of Armenia (RPA), Ms. Bakhshyan said, “Only a year ago,
Prosperous Armenia was actively involved in the decision-making of
the ruling authorities.”

As for ARF Dashnaktsutyun’s statements suggesting Heritage party leader
Raffi Hovannisian should top the opposition list, Ms. Bakhshyan said,
“Mr. Hovannisian submitted a list for Yerevan city council elections,
with Lilit Galstyan topping the list. Lilit is a respected politician.”

She further noted RPA, Prosperous Armenia and Orinats Yerkir as their
main rivals during city council polls.
