ZHAMANAK: YEREVAN POLICE CHIEF DISMISSED FOR PROVOCATION ON APRIL 9

The Chief of Yerevan Police Nerses Nazarian was dismissed for a
provocation on April 9, according to “Zhamanak” daily. During the
opposition’s march in Baghramian Avenue, he swore at Raffi Hovannisian
who then tried to pounce on him.

The incident led to scuffles between opposition members and policemen.

The Armenian Police Chief Vladimir Gasparian was also present there.

He managed to prevent negative consequences.
