Khosrov Forest State Reserve Introduced For European Diploma

KHOSROV FOREST STATE RESERVE INTRODUCED FOR EUROPEAN DIPLOMA

YEREVAN, APRIL 4, ARMENPRESS. Khosrov Forest State Reserve was
presented for the state diploma. The Public Relations Department of
the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia informed
“Armenpress” that the activity for introducing the state reserve for
European Diploma launched yet in 2011.

The Council of Europe financed the program as activity within the
framework of “Berne Convention”. Among the objectives of the program
was the international appreciation of a reserve territory of the
Republic of Armenia. For this purpose the Ministry of Nature Protection
of the Republic of Armenia has selected Khosrov Forest State Reserve.

The report on Khosrov Forest State Reserve alongside with the
application for the diploma of a territory protected by the Council of
Europe was represented during the meeting of the experts in Strasburg
in 2012.
