TURKISH SOLDIER TO STAY JUST 3 YEARS IN JAIL FOR MURDERING ETHNIC ARMENIAN SERVICEMAN

Serviceman Kvanc Agaoglu, who killed ethnic Armenian serviceman Sevag
Balikci on April 24 in Turkey, will stay in jail just for three years.

According to Turkish-Armenian Agos paper based in Istanbul, the verdict
was read out yesterday. The court has sentenced Agaoglu to 4 years and
5 months imprisonment for ‘killing a person as a result of negligence.’

Balikci family lawyer demanded convicting Agaoglu for premeditated
murder.

He will serve three years taking into consideration the time he has
already spent in jail.
