“Sunrise over Lake Van” movie introduced in Romania

TIMISOARA, MARCH 16, ARMENPRESS. Artak Igityan’s and Vahan
Stepanyan’s “Sunrise over Lake Van” movie was displayed in Timisoara,
Romania in the frames of Cinecultura annual international film
festival held on March 11-15. The audience highly appreciated the
movie. The Armenian movie was introduced in the film festival on
Armenian student Armen Stepanyan’s initiative. “Armenpress” had a
short interview with him.

– What can you say about the festival and what participation do you
have in the organization of the festival?

– First of all I would like to say that Cinecultura is an annual
international movie watching week during which national and
international prizewinning movies are introduced to the population of
Timisoara. This year nine movies from nine different countries were
introduced to the public. “Sunrise over Lake Van” was among them. I
am a volunteer member of the organizing committee of the festival and
I’m glad to introduce the Armenian cinematography and culture to the
Romanians.

– Was this the first time that an Armenian movie is shown within the
frames of this film festival on your initiative?

– No, it’s not. This is the second year that I introduce an Armenian
movie within the frames of Cinecultura.
