UK CALLS ON ARMENIA TO BOOST TIES WITH EU – AGENCY

Yerevan 11 March: Deputy Foreign Minister of UK [Permanent
Undersecretary of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office] Simon
Fraser said in Yerevan [on] 11 March that the deepening of Armenia’s
relations with the European Union does not hamper close relations
between Yerevan and Moscow.

“I call on Armenia to continue developing relations with the European
Union and at the same time I respect the relations between Armenia
and Russia,” said Simon Fraser.

According to him, there can be some problems in terms of free trade
regime with EU and the Customs Union, “but it is obvious for me that
Armenia has big desire to deepen relations with Europe.”
